How it works

Hear, see, move, prove

One loop, every week. Otto does the listening. You make the calls.

Everything in this section is sample data for a made-up coffee gear shop.

  1. Step 1 · Hear

Otto leans in with a Psst

One thing worth knowing: what happened, the proof, why it matters to you and a ready draft.

    PsstPraise themeSample

People keep praising how fast your orders arrive.

    Proof

41 Bluesky posts this week mention your shipping speed.

    Why it matters

Two competitors are getting slow-shipping complaints. Nobody owns "fast" yet.

    What to do

Say it where shoppers decide: on your product pages.

Which competitor gets the most shipping complaints?

  2. Step 2 · See

    Earshot shows where you stand

Your brand on the things customers actually talk about, next to competitors, moving over time.

  3. Step 3 · Move

    Three Moves a week, ranked

Prioritized by expected impact, each with drafts you can copy in one tap.

Add "Ships in 2 days" to your product pages

Order by 2pm and it ships today. Most orders arrive in 2 days.

  4. Step 4 · Prove

Track it and watch it work

Otto measures before and after, so you know which Moves paid off.

Plus the sweet stuff: Ear Candy

Real praise from real customers, found across public sources, with a link to where it was said. Otto never makes up compliments.

Not another dashboard to dig through

Most listening tools wait for you to go looking. Otto does the looking and taps you on the shoulder when something matters.

  • A Psst when it matters

Urgent things reach you right away. Everything else waits for your daily digest.

  • The Daily Earful

A 60–90 second ritual: swipe through 3–5 Pssts, then you're all caught up.

  • Every number ends in a question

Tap a question under any chart and Otto explains it, with sources.

We only use sources whose terms we've checked for commercial use, and we credit each one where its data appears. More are under review.

Trust

Proof on every number

If Otto can't show where something came from, it doesn't say it.

  • Sources on everything

Every number shows its source, date and confidence. Correlations are labeled "pattern, not proof".

  • No scraping

Official APIs and open data only, used the way their terms allow. When something is deleted at the source, we delete it too.

  • Privacy-first

We collect only what we need, never sell personal data and encrypt connected-account tokens.

  • Your data is yours

Export or delete it any time. Benchmarks only ever use anonymized, aggregated numbers.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What is ListenPals?

A web app for small online brands. Otto, your AI pal, listens to public conversations and open world data about your brand and category, tells you what matters, suggests what to do and tracks whether it worked.

Can I use it today?

Not yet. ListenPals is in early access and we're building the first version now. Join the early list and we'll email you when there's a spot.

Who is it for?

Small brands and startups that sell online in English: DTC and e-commerce shops, SaaS and apps. No analyst needed.

Is it a social media scheduler?

No. ListenPals doesn't post for you. It listens, explains and hands you ready drafts to copy wherever you publish.

Where does the data come from?

Official APIs and open datasets whose terms allow commercial use, such as Bluesky, Wikipedia pageviews, GDELT, BLS and Eurostat prices, US Census retail data and USPTO trademarks. Every number links to its source. Later you'll be able to connect your own accounts too.

Do you scrape websites or social networks?

No. If a source's terms don't allow our use, we don't use it.

Is Otto a real person?

No. Otto is an AI, and it will always tell you so if you ask. It shows its sources so you can check its work.

How much will it cost?

Pricing isn't set yet. People on the early list will hear about it first, and nobody is charged anything without agreeing to a plan.

What happens to my email?

We use it only to contact you about ListenPals early access, and we never sell it. Ask us to delete it any time at hello@listenpals.com.
